WIDS Riyadh Datathon
Feb 20, 2021
12pm - 6pm
The WiDS Riyadh Datathon Workshop is an annual workshop preceding the WiDS Conference. The workshop aims to provide mentorship and training for those interested in participating in the WiDS Datathon Challenge, and, more generally, anyone with a strong interest in data science.
A datathon is a data-focused hackathon — given a dataset and a limited amount of time, participants are challenged to use their creativity and data science skills to build, test, and explore solutions. Try something new, apply what you know, learn from other participants, and improve your data science skills along the way!
The 4th Annual WiDS Datathon focuses on models to determine whether a patient admitted to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has been diagnosed with a particular type of diabetes (videos). The datathon is open on Kaggle from January 6 - March 1.
The WiDS Datathon workshop consists of data science/machine learning tutorials followed by a team-based practical session focused on a single data science task.
